JOHN DONDANVILLE and SANDY
John Dondanville, 5-05

Following Graduation from Burroughs, I attended Valley College, where I served one year as editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper. I also served as president of the college honorary journalism society and as president of my fraternity.

I transferred to San Jose State College and then to Cal State University Northridge where I received a B.A. degree in journalism.

As I have always been more interested in forms of creative writing, I did not pursue a career in journalism. I tried my hand at play writing and wrote two plays which caught the attention of producers and subsequently resulted in landing a feature film assignment with 20th. Century Fox. My crowning achievement was and epic drama which was purchased by Paramount Pictures.

Along the way, I was twice married and have two daughters from the first marriage who both live in Connecticut. My second marriage produced a son who resides in Santa Barbara.

Retired since 1992, I look back with fondness at my school days in Burbank and cherish the many memories and lasting friendships that they produced.
