Jack Street and Vonnie Van Note were married in 1956 and lived in Cuba and Puerto Rico for a year and a half with the Navy.

They have two children, a son Bob and a daughter, Sharan.

Jack went to UCLA and was a teacher in Northern California, a foreign service officer in Guadalajara, and then an E.S.L. professor at Long Beach City College.

Vonnie went back to school and began teaching in elementary school in 1972.

They both are retired but Vonnie tutors first grade reading in Malibu part of the year.

Sharan is the managing editor of the LA Weekly. Bob is a musician/composer/teacher. He married Tanya Scott and they surprised everyone with a with a daughter named Violet.

Jack reads and fishes. Vonnie reads and gardens. They like to go camping and travel. They love being grandparents and are enjoying life.
